It turns out Bill Hader is related to Hollywood royalty.

The actor opened up about his surprising blood connection to none other than Carol Burnett, telling Entertainment Tonight that he made the shock discovery via email.

“She emailed me,” the 3-time Emmy winner told the outlet. “Yeah, she emailed me and said, ‘Hey, we’re related.’ And I went, ‘What?’”

The pair’s unlikely family history was uncovered in a January episode of PBS’ “Finding Your Roots.”

Appearing on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last week, Hader said the news prompted him to tell his three daughters that they, too, are related to the 6-time Emmy, 7-time Golden Globe, Grammy and Tony-winning actress.

“I told my kids. I’m like, ‘We’re all related to Miss Hannigan,’ and they were like, ‘Ah!’” Hader told the outlet, referring to Burnett’s role in the 1982 film “Annie.” “So it was really fun.”

The “Trainwreck” actor, 44, said the pair have remained in contact since discovering their roots.

“We’ve been texting and emailing and stuff,” he said. “So it’s been really exciting. I hope I can, like, have dinner with her.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Hader was shown a clip of himself speaking about Burnett in 2015 following the release of “The Carol Burnett Show: The Lost Episodes DVD” box set.

In the video, Hader confessed to having a crush on the Hollywood legend.

When confronted about it by Kimmel, Hader joked, “Hey, you can take the boy out of Oklahoma. You know what I’m saying? That’s the way it works. I knew there was something about her.”

For her part, Burnett, 89, opened up about her connection to Hader during last week’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
