Instagram on the web lets you access the social media application from a browser on your PC.
Instagram’s website version offers most of the same functionality as the mobile app. There are a few exceptions to this rule, such Stories and the Shop feature.
You can post to Instagram from the internet but you will need to select photos or videos that are already on your computer.

Most people use Instagram on their phone using the social media platform’s mobile app, but if you need to post or engage with your followers when you’re sitting in front of a computer, no worries — you can use Instagram on the web. You can use Instagram on the internet to post, comment and interact with your account using any Mac or Windows PC.

Instagram can be used on the internet in the same way as the mobile app. You won’t have any problems using Instagram in a web browser if you are familiar with the social media service on your smartphone. The layout is quite different.

Open the Instagram webpage page in your browser. Log in with your account information to get started. It should open to your feed by default. The toolbar should be located at the top right of the page. It contains all the main controls that you have access to:

How Instagram web differs to the mobile app

The web version of Instagram offers a similar experience as the mobile app but is somewhat incomplete. Stories are the most important difference. You can’t add or post to your own Story. However, you can view Stories from other accounts that you follow and view your Story. You won’t see a Shop tab in the web version of Instagram like you will in the mobile app.
