The ladies of Essex College are back, and this time around they’re savvier, smarter, and more sexually empowered than ever. HBO Max has dropped the trailer for The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2. And starting on Thursday, November 17, we’re about to see how nasty Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble can make higher education.

And yes, this new trailer is horny. There is truly no other word for it. After a brief introduction from series stars Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Reneé Rapp, and Alyah Chanelle Scott, it dives right into the sex and skin. We’re talking nearly-naked runs, winter underwear parties, and the most collegiate event ever imagined: a strip show fundraiser for climate change. Mindy gets it. College kids want to see each other’s smokin’ bods while saving the planet. Truly we are blessed to have her.

But don’t let the muscled torsos and men lifting heavy televisions fool you. This is an equal opportunity sex-positive show. In this case, that means there are variety of scenes featuring Leighton (Rapp) hooking up with her sexy fling of the minute.

If this were any other show, all of that sex and skin would feel objectifying. But as The Sex Lives of College Girls‘ very title indicates, that’s kind of the point of this one. Last year, the comedy followed four college freshmen as they navigated the difficult waters of celebrating and processing their newfound freedom from their parents. For Bela (Kaur) and Kimberley (Chalamet), that meant throwing of the shackles of parental expectations and finding out who they were, typically through questionable hookups and poor decision-making. And for Leighton (Rapp) and Whitney (Scott), that meant coming to terms with the secrets they kept and the women they want to be.

Now these women are entering their sophomore year with a whole new set of obstacles, from figuring out how to pay for tuition without scholarships to renouncing their former dreams. No matter what lies ahead, chances are this series will remain as fun and charming as it was in its first season. Check the trailer out above and bask in the perfect balance of hotties and comedy.
